LUAN GILIOMEE is the sensational rookie who announced his arrival on the big stage with a performance that proved exactly why he is the newest weapon in the World Champion Blitzboks arsenal.
Making his first start for the Hollywoodbets Sharks, the young star looked every bit the international powerhouse as he navigated the Munster defense with clinical precision to cross for a dream debut try in the 28th minute.
The Sharks delivered a ruthless 45-0 dismantling of Munster at Hollywoodbets Kings Park on Saturday, and while the scoreboard told a story of total dominance, Giliomee was the catalyst for the carnage. The rookie displayed the same explosive pace and composure that earned him his Springbok Sevens colors earlier this year, serving as the spark for a seven-try blitz that left the Irish giants shell-shocked.

The massive hiding started early with a relentless attacking display that saw Phepsi Buthelezi open the scoring in the 6th minute with Jordan Hendrikse adding the extras.
Giliomee then doubled the lead before the half-hour mark, setting the tone for a one-sided afternoon that saw the visitors fail to register a single point.
The second half was a clinical masterclass as Phatu Ganyane and Emile van Heerden both crossed the whitewash to stretch the lead, while Hendrikse remained a force from the tee.

The historic victory culminated in a late double from Makazole Mapimpi, who celebrated his 100th appearance for the club in spectacular fashion alongside the rising rookie.
Le-Roux Malan added a further score in the 76th minute with Jean Smith providing the final conversions to seal one of the most significant whitewashes in recent United Rugby Championship history.
