Congratulations to Brandon Wilson, the South African who moved to America and is tearing through Power Slap’s heavyweight division. The Brandon Wilson Power Slap run began in Las Vegas on 15 May and reached Lubbock, Texas on 17 September, three fights and three stoppages later, with Brian “The Predator” Ellis the latest to go by second-round TKO.
Brandon Wilson Power Slap record: how the 3-0 was built
Wilson, who fights as the B-52 Bomber, announced himself at Vechain Power Slap 20: Trujillo vs. Johnson on 15 May at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Brice “Just Hands” Jones won the coin toss and got the first strike. Wilson finished the heavyweight bout in round one anyway.
Power Slap lists Jones, 37, of Las Vegas, at 6’2″ and 261 pounds, a pound lighter than Wilson. Its profile says he lost more than 100 pounds at 24 before moving to Las Vegas, joined Power Slap in Season 3 and wants to challenge for the heavyweight championship.
Ten seconds is how long Russell “War Time” Milburn lasted at Power Slap 21 on 10 July, eight weeks later, on the taped early preliminary card at the same venue. Milburn, 40, of Houston, holds black belts in Shotokan and Goju Ryu karate according to his Power Slap profile, which also lists a computer science degree and a consulting firm for crypto-native businesses. Power Slap lists him at 244 pounds, 18 pounds lighter than Wilson, who knocked him out in round one.
The third stoppage came just under ten weeks later at Double Eagle Energy Power Slap 23: Wolverine vs Greenhalgh, held at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock on 17 September. Wilson opened the card and won the coin toss to strike first. Power Slap’s official results record a TKO in round two, and the fight card lists him ranked ninth. His first two finishes both came in round one.
“The first time I saw him, he took the slap on the cheek like it was nothing, pointed his finger at the opponent and told him he was in big trouble. At that moment, I knew we had a wild Saffa causing havoc abroad!” – 🎙Jay
Who is the B-52 Bomber?
Wilson is a 28-year-old right-handed Power Slap heavyweight, listed at 6’0″ and 262 pounds. Power Slap’s profile has him at 3-0 with three knockouts, lists his nationality as South Africa and his hometown as Mitchell, South Dakota.

The profile describes a quiet but confident fighter who plans to let his performance do the talking. It says he found slap fighting on YouTube, came in with a simple mindset of hitting hard, making an impression and earning his way back into the fight game, and moved to the United States in pursuit of better opportunities. It calls that decision the best thing he has ever done and a major turning point in his life. It also carries his message to Jones before their May fight:
Brandon Wilson, Power Slap heavyweight
“I just want to wish my opponent good luck and hope he has all his affairs in order.”
How a South African Power Slap heavyweight got here
The rest of his story comes from Power Slap’s broadcast introductions rather than his official profile, and it is the part that makes this run stand out. They described a kid from a small town in the Eastern Cape who played rugby before moving into MMA and boxing, with an amateur record of 6-0 in MMA and 2-0 in boxing.
Commentators said Wilson helped prepare Dricus du Plessis for the Darren Till fight at UFC 282 in December 2022. Du Plessis submitted Till in round three on 10 December 2022 and went on to win the UFC middleweight title in January 2024.
About 18 months before his debut, the broadcast said, he moved to the United States and settled in Mitchell. He worked maintenance on hog barns, doing welding, electrical and plumbing, and the commentary called him multifaceted.
By his third fight, the commentary said he had moved from South Dakota to Indiana about a month earlier. The South Dakota job had asked him to choose between the barn and Power Slap. He chose Power Slap.
The Brandon Wilson Power Slap record reads 3-0, and the heavyweight division has a new name to deal with. What Power Slap does with that is the next call.
