The South African franchises have dominated the United Rugby Championship for the second consecutive week with a clean sweep of victories across the board!
From the high-scoring thriller in Pretoria to the commanding display at Ellis Park, the local teams are hitting peak form at a crucial stage of the season. The Lions set the tone with a 42-26 victory over the Dragons, showcasing their attacking flair and physical dominance to keep their playoff dreams alive.
In a much tighter contest, the Bulls managed to edge past Munster in a 34-31 classic that kept the Loftus Versfeld crowd guessing until the final whistle.

While the wins are stacking up, individual performances are under the microscope. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu had one of his most difficult outings since turning professional.
The Stormers could have won by a much bigger score, but Sasha had a really shocker of a game again, both from a kicking and focus point of view. It is simply way too many mistakes for a guy who is so highly rated, and it appeared as though his focus was elsewhere during the match.
Despite being error-prone early on, the Stormers secured a 33-14 bonus-point win over Edinburgh with a strong finish. None of these teams can afford a loss at this stage of the competition with the exception of the Stormers, who have a bit more breathing room in the standings.
The Sharks also added to the tally by overcoming Cardiff 21-15, proving that the South African defensive structures are becoming increasingly difficult to break down.
ROUND 14 SCOREBOARD
- Sharks 21-15 Cardiff
- Lions 42-26 Dragons
- Bulls 34-31 Munster
- Stormers 33-14 Edinburgh
